“You know what your problem is, mate? You just sit around, expecting life to happen for you. Waiting for it all to just land in your lap…“

Ten years on from the death of their best mate, Tony -, three friends Danny, Charlotte, and Temi, now all in their late-20s are confronted by the choices they did or didn’t make.

During its sold out, unanimous four and five star run at The Brockley Jack Studio, Wasted received an Offie nomination for Best Performance Ensemble. Fast forward a year later, Wasted is now back at Catford’s Broadway Theatre! With a new perspective from Director Toby Clarke, Kae Tempest’s rapid-fire Wasted, is a play about friendship, South London’s stranglehold and the kind of dreams you’re too shit-scared to chase.

Wasted received its first performance in July 2011 at the Latitude Festival in a production by Paines Plough, Birmingham Repertory Theatre and The Roundhouse, and was subsequently revived in 2012 and 2013 as part of two Paines Plough national tours.

MICA Theatre is a brand-new theatre company standing for Matters I care about. MICA are dedicated to telling stories that reflect you and ultimately make you care. Care for the characters, the story, the world and so in turn… something you’ve heard a thousand times could potentially land quite differently. MICA believes in creating theatre that welcomes all communities. Communities who may never have experienced theatre. Theatre that you believe. Theatre that moves you. All whilst maintaining compelling, creative, and imaginative storytelling. The company is produced by Isabella Verrico.
