Our December comedy extravaganza features not one but TWO full lineups of the best comedians to grace the city! 

Wednesday 13 December

Mike Gunn

Mike Gunn is very simply, one of the best comedians in the world. He is a stalwart of the UK's circuit and regularly headlines its largest clubs like The Comedy Store. 

On TV he's appeared on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow (BBC1), Celebrity Deal or no Deal (CH 4), Harry Hill’s TV Burp (ITV), Al Murray’s sitcom ‘Time Gentlemen Please’ (Sky), Soccer AM (Sky 1), The Comedy Store (Comedy Central), Live At Jongleurs (CH5), and The Gas (CH4).

Support this week comes from Leah Davies, a vibrant radio presenter and comedian renowned for her national broadcasts on Capital XTRA, the Hip Hop & RnB station. Having ignited her comedy journey in March 2022, she’s already earned an impressive array of achievements. Notably, she’s a finalist in Funny Women ’22 and British Comedian of the Year ’22 competitions. 

Plus Rory O'Hanlon. A regular face on Irish TV, featured on RTE's New Comedy Awards and a veteran of stage at the Edinburgh Fringe including a regular performances at The Stand Comedy Club's Best of Irish show!

Michael Odewale

Michael Odewale A fresh and unfiltered voice known for delivering sharp and beautifully executed content, his debut show #BlackBearsMatter won Best Show at both the 2019 Leicester Comedy Festivals and achieved critical acclaim at the Edinburgh Fringe 2019, earning him a nomination for Best Newcomer in the Dave Edinburgh Comedy Awards.

In 2022 he released his first stand up special Michael Odewale: Live at Soho Theatre for Amazon Prime and has since gone on to perform on a host of shows including Live at The Apollo (BBC), Friday Night Live (C4) and Live from The Moth Club (Dave).

And Matthew McAloone! A BBC Comedy Award finalist, Northern Irish storyteller Matthew McAloone is known for his confident stage presence and his sharp writing. Matthew performs regularly at some of the biggest comedy clubs in the UK, including The Comedy Store, The Stand and The Glee Club. He was host of Theo Von’s Shepherds Bush O2 Empire show and has toured South Africa and Europe.
