The Broadway Theatre can provide facilities and services for various types of events from staged shows to conventions.

Hire time must include enough time for setting up lighting rigs, get-ins, rehearsals and suitable breaks for technical/FOH staff. Performances must be finished by 11pm at the latest and the hire time must include at least 20 minutes after the building is vacated by audience/performers to allow it to be locked and secured.

A deposit to secure the booking will be required.

Tickets must not be advertised for sale until a formal Contract of Hire has been signed.

The Broadway Theatre gives high priority to Health & Safety and security and will need to ensure that proper arrangements are put in place. The decision of the Theatre Management regarding the necessary requirements is final. 

Standard rental charges for Main Theatre

£250 per hour (plus VAT)
(plus 10% box office commission)
includes
3 stage staff - to operate sound/lights/stage etc
Front of house staff including Duty Manager and stewards
2 fully licensed bars
Full box office facilities


Additional charges

Additional hours - per hour £250.00
Facility fee for video recording £250.00
Additional crew - per hour £12.00
Security staff - per hour £15.00
Some off-peak reductions available by negotiation

Discounts of 25% available for state schools and events that can clearly demonstrate that they provide purposeful activities for young people, in particular through the arts, and/or support the Borough’s vulnerable
communities

Box Office facilities
All tickets must be issued through the Broadway theatre Box Office. A 10% commission is charged. All events are also offered for sale on-line on the Theatres web site.
Credit Card commission is deducted from net Box Office receipts as is any money due to PRS for music performance rights.

Technical facilities
Included in the hire is the use of the Theatres in-house staging and technical facilities. Additional technical equipment (e.g radio mikes, risers etc) are available at an additional cost.

Marketing facilities
Use of some display sites for leaflets/posters and general listing in Theatre Brochure is included in the hire fee. Additional marketing (e.g leaflet printing, mailshots etc) is available at an additional cost.
